What is ParaUnity? Is it just a buzzword or is there some truth behind it? The picture states that we are all working for the SAME goal, but what is that goal? Is it that ghosts are real? If you are a true paranormal investigator then I think THAT has been answered. Is it that simple? If it is then I guess you just quit now. The fact is that there is no common goal among everyone, we are all in it for different reasons. I support ParaUnity, but it is not about a common goal, but a common interest. To me it is about meeting new people and making new friends to support our common interest. You have to be willing to be as good of student as you are a teacher. We will never unite as one because we are not followers, but leaders. ParaUnity is about respecting each other for being different, and individuals with the same interest and nothing more!
Now onto the apps for Iphone or Android. There are A LOT of paranormal apps on the market today. 99.9% of them are for entertainment only to give someone a good scare. Be leary of the ones that promise they can do this or that. In the app world honesty is the best policy. Do your research, watch youtube videos. The app world is a cutthroat one with all the bashing that goes on between developers. It's the developers that say, "this is what I did and I have no idea how it works" are the ones I am more likely to believe.
We all work hard for our money and we are all out there trying to find answers, so do your research before jumping on this paranormal bandwagon or the other. Just because it's been on TV doesn't mean it works.
Figure out what type of evidence you are looking and what it takes for you to get the answers you are looking for before investing any money into any equipment or apps!
Just like orbs, there is a lot of controversy on what is the best equipment to use. Lets start with the store bought equipment. It all depends on what you are looking for (lights, sound, digital read out, etc.). MEL, KII to name a few are all good products but.....with my electrical background and dealing with meters daily to protect me, I am concerned. If all you are looking for is a change in magnetism, these work great! As you know, spirits can manipulate the magnetic field and these see that. Are the readings we get from these as far as mG correct? Does it matter? To me it does. With my electrical meters, I send those in every 6 months to get certified and re-calibrated for accuracy. There is no re-calibrating of the KII, but I bet you could contact Gary Galka, the inventor of the MEL and get it done if desired. He is the owner of Pro-Measure.com and he makes meters for a living outside of the paranormal world. Bottom line on the store bought....You get what you pay for so don't go cheap.
There is an ongoing debate of having your cell phone on during investigations. Does my cell phone cause interference with my equipment such as MEL or KII? Yes it does, but who cares. Why do you have a phone? If you are like me it is so people who need something can call you. Turn off the ringer as to not interrupt an EVP session is the polite thing to do. Why the big hype about it? Because people do not know or take the time to learn their equipment. Just like our initial EVP sweep so that we know what is norm and what isn't. Take the time to learn your equipment and how it is affected by your cell phone. It is important that people who need to get a hold of you can. Learn, learn, learn your equipment. Do not listen to what you see people on TV do or say. Reality TV is not real!
We are all given the God free will to make our own decisions. Some good and some are bad, but they are our decisions.
Have you ever made a decision and wished you had made another? I am sure you have, but does that mean the your 1st decision was wrong? No it doesn't because it was YOUR decision. It is what you do with it and what you learned from it that makes it good or bad. Let me give you an example....
In 1986 I was stationed in Japan. I was bored one night and decided to go to the club on base. While I was there I went into the arcade and saw a game called "Dragon's Lair". All the other games cost a quarter to play, but this one was 50 cents. I wondered why this game was twice as much. I watched the graphics for a while before making my decision to play or not. After all, it was MY decision. I think I spent $25 that night on the game, so was it the right decision?
Dragon's Lair is an interactive game where Dirk the knight is trying to rescue the beautiful princess from the evil dragon by making split second decisions. By making those decisions you either die or continue. What did I learn from playing the game? It taught me that even if your 1st decision wasn't the correct one, it doesn't mean it was the wrong one as long as you learned from it. If you learned the outcome from going down this path instead of that path, you could continue to play on your initial investment.
In real life we don't always get multiple chances to continue playing. Your 1st decision is never wrong as long as you learn there is always a better choice, a better path, if you want to continue playing/living.
Just remember....I never said there weren't bad decisions, just not wrong ones!!
